The Brewton community is mourning the tragic death of 36-year-old Shaterica Travis, who was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Evergreen.
According to the Evergreen Police Department, the collision occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on September 5, 2026, near 13467 U.S. Highway 84. Officers from the department’s Patrol Division were dispatched after receiving a report of a crash involving one vehicle.

Authorities said Travis was driving a 2012 Jeep Wrangler when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned. She was the only person inside the Jeep.
